How your baby's growing: Head to bottom, your baby is approximately 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a large sweet potato) and she weighs almost 7 ounces. She's busy flexing her arms and legs — movements that you'll likely start noticing more and more. (more)

Just a week too late...

When we were at the Turner County Fair last week, we stopped by the Lutherans for Life booth and they had the developing baby models out. I was thrilled to see they had a 16 week baby... while I was 16 weeks pregnant. So under the "more" tag is a picture of "our" little Wags =) That's my hand and watch in the photo for reference, too. Painting
30 August 2004 18:32

Our baby is going to hate Winnie the Pooh.

Saturday (8/28) began the project of painting the room we have been calling "The Baby's Room" since we moved in. We painted the walls a pale blue...almost a sky blue. Now, Gen's painting hills near the floor boards. I helped with the straight wall painting, but I told her the "artsy-fartsy" stuff was all her; my drawing creativity skills are better directed toward technical drawing.

The colors are from some classic Pooh stuff we saw (and registered for) at Target. So, as I have been saying for a while now, our child is going to hate Winnie the Pooh. Why? Because its room is going to be Classic Winnie the Pooh themed. It would only be logical for it to do so.

Oh, as speaking of the registry, it is still "coming soon." Fret not, I'll have it up some time...perhaps after we get back from Chicago-land next month.

Still Kickin'...or Beatin'
23 August 2004 22:07

We were in Salem for prenatal #3 today. Things are progressing well and Wags is growing as expected/hoped. Once again, we heard the heartbeat. It's about on pace with what was posted about a month ago, perhaps a little slower (of course, because Wags is bigger now).

All of this makes me want to hold my child all the sooner...I'm really looking forward to February, now!

Be Wery, Wery Kwiet...
10 August 2004 22:58

Well, you don't have to be, but we have been, and we will probably continue to be for the next week (or so). Grandpa and Grandma Wagner, Aunt J, and Uncle A will be visiting for the next week, so you can guess where our attention is going to be...ON THE BABY, OF COURSE!!

Cheers!

Thanks to everyone for well wishes and prayers!
