I have so many things that I want to update about, and I keep forgetting to come do it. It has been a little busy around here last week... and this week is no different. But here's some of Robert's latest doings:

Last week, Robert decided to take finger painting to the mixed media level. That's right, somehow while "napping," he removed the front of his diaper and decided to paint... with poop. Ugh. Geof was letting me get a nap because I was exhausted, and I woke up to him saying "What did you do?" It was quite the clean up, and Geof was so helpful with getting a lot of it done before I got there (and bathing the boy). But it was like constantly finding new things that were painted - especially the stuffed animals - 80% of which could not be washed in the washing machine.

Also, when we were in FL back in September, we noticed that Robert's 4 canine teeth were trying to come through. Well, being the great record keeper that I am... I never wrote down when they (3) broke through. His lower left canine tooth is fully in - so I'll say that one came in about 3 weeks ago (10/3). His two upper canines are in about the same - maybe 1/2-2/3 through... so we'll say about a week and a half ago (10/14). The forth one, though (his lower right)... not even threatening to peek through =)

Robert went on a hospital tour with Mama and Daddy yesterday to see where his baby sibling will be born in a few weeks. He even got the bonus of getting to see a real newborn - in the nursery being given a UV light treatment for jaundice. So he got to see how tiny babies can be (but with him being such a hefty newborn, I highly doubt such a tiny peanut - as cute as that little guy was - will be joining our household!).

He's going through a throwing phase right now. We're really not putting up with it at all. He'll ask for something, and we'll give it to him if he can have it. But within a couple of seconds of having it, he pitches it to the floor. Well, then it gets taken away. This has been going on for about a week... we're hoping it's over really soon - especially hard-to-bend-over mama right now.

Last but not least, we're having friends of ours over later this week, along with their daughter who just turned one. We picked up a birthday present for Moriah, and I wanted to find something (even something he already had) to wrap up for Robert so he wouldn't feel too left out of the fun. Well, he now has a potty chair thanks to my Mom! So Robert will get to have his own little potty in the bathroom just like the adults have. I have no intention of starting him with it until after the baby has been here for a bit, but I thought it would be a good idea to at least have it around, let him get used to it, etc. before trying to get him to use it. He's getting so big!

I haven't forgotten about the pictures from painting (with paint!) - and we also took some pictures yesterday at the pumpkin patch... so those will get posted as soon as I can!

Eli did the 'paint-with-poop' thing - it was a month ago or so and I gave him to Cara naked one morning after he went potty. I had to go downstairs and make breakfast and get ready to go to school and Cara was asleep with her eyes open so she never actually heard me give her instructions to put a diaper on and get him dressed - so I hear Cara yelling a little bit later, "Why didn't you put a diaper on him," to which I respond, "why didn't YOU put a diaper on him?!?" Thankfully it was only on about a 2 sqft area of the landing of our stairwell and nowhere else - not on stuffed animals. I am sorry you had to deal with that! Aren't boys so much fun!?!?! :-) I wouldn't give them up for anything in the world!
