When I knew I was getting a Windows Mobile 2003 device, I quickly set out to learn how to created Today Themes for it. This one was my first, because it happens to be my favorite desktop theme as well. So, as I now use WisBar (and Pocket Luna suite) with this, my desktop and Pocket PC look similar.

This Theme has a start menu background that matches the Today Screen Background. It is also designed to work with VGA capable devices. The background image is 640x640 and will fill the today screen in VGA modes.

It was updated only insofar as the other file offered offers a different contrast with black text on the today screen (instead of white). So, pick your choice!
